This 60 day (480 hours) practicum will enable learners to develop professional practice skills under professional supervision.
You will apply skills in communication, engagement, and assessment to promote positive outcomes for individuals, groups or communities and will manage practice safely and accountably working within relevant organisational protocols.
You will develop skills in professional report writing and maintain accurate records assuring client confidentiality and privacy, and making referrals to other agencies as appropriate.
During the practicum you will use reflection and practice supervision to articulate and reflect on practice theory, evidence, and knowledge for practice.
You will be able to identify the legislative framework underpinning practice situations and discuss associated ethical issues. The practicum block is preceded by a compulsory five-day practice skills workshop.
Note: you must have completed 240 credits in the programme before enrolling in your first praticum. This means you have to complete one level 7 course as part of the 240 credits and we recommend either 77328 or 77329.
