This course examines the opportunities, constraints, specialist practice models and issues associated with different fields of practice and practice contexts for social work service delivery including whānau, iwi and hapu-based social service organisations. It will explore practice contexts in terms of: agency and organisational contexts; social work intervention at different stages of the lifecycle; social work and social problems; social work health and disability; and diversity, stigma, discrimination and prejudice.
