To complete this programme you need to do six courses. We recommend you begin your studies with the Level 6 electives. 

OP720303 Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting

 OP720303 Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting is closed to new learners for enrolment in 2023. This follows on from new competencies required by the professional accounting bodies, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and CPA Australia.

 To meet these competencies a new Bachelor of Accounting has been developed as a unified degree to be offered across Te Pūkenga network from 2023, subject to approval by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). As a result of these changes, Open Polytechnic will be progressively closing our current Levels 6 and 7 accounting courses.

Update for new learners 

If you are not currently enrolled in OP720303 Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting and wish to complete the requirements for professional membership please obtain an assessment from either CAANZ or CPA Australia. Then contact us to talk to a Student Advisor who will be able to suggest how you can meet the requirements.

Update for re-enrolling learners

 If you are a current learner in OP720303 Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting you can continue to re-enrol as normal and complete your qualification. We will be in touch with you shortly to advise you of the last time each of the accounting courses will be offered.
