Each course in this programme is worth 20 credits (except for BIT701 - IT Project which is worth 40 credits and runs across two trimesters).
To achieve this qualification you need to complete 360 credits, made up of 120 credits at each level (Levels 5, 6 and 7).
You need to complete the compulsory Level 5 courses before you can enrol in the Level 6 then Level 7 courses.
We recommend you study the Level 5 courses in the following order:
- In any order:
BIT501 Business Concepts and Communication (this course includes a compulsory element of group activity in one assessment),
BIT502 Fundamentals of Programming, and
BIT503 Fundamentals of Information Technology, then:
- BIT504 Programming I
- BIT505 Introduction to Software Development
- BIT507 Fundamentals of Systems Analysis and Design*
* If you have already successfully completed BIT506 Mathematics for IT, you will not need to enrol into BIT507 Fundamentals of Systems Analysis and Design.
