OP700109 Bachelor of Business (Accounting) is closed to new learners for enrolment in 2023.
If you are a current learner in OP700109 Bachelor of Business (Accounting) up to, and including, courses starting in October 2022, and depending on how many courses you have completed you will either complete the OP700109 Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or transition to the new Te Pūkenga Bachelor of Accounting.
Check the Study plan PDF to see the suggested order to study your courses. How long it will take you to complete the qualification will depend on whether you study one, two or three courses each block.
To achieve this qualification you need to complete 18 courses (360 credits). There are two options for study.
If you want to become a chartered accountant, you need to study the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) path. To do this you must complete:
- The 13 compulsory courses
- All three courses in the Elective section
- Both courses in the Chartered Accountant section.
If you are not studying the CAANZ, path you need to complete:
- The 13 compulsory course
- Two courses from the Electives section
- Three electives from any Open Polytechnic degree course. One of these must be a Level 5 course and one must be a Level 7 course.
