You must complete all courses listed in the table below to achieve this general insurance strand. It is made up of two general courses (FSC521 and FSC522) that are part of all New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services strands. The third course is the specialist course for your chosen strand.
On completion of FSC521, you may enrol in both FSC522 and the preferred strand within the same enrolment. These start dates will be staggered to ensure enough time to complete the first course Assessments, before progressing onto the final course of the qualification.
To meet the competency requirements of Standard 8 of the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services you must complete the strand that is most relevant to the type of product you advise on. If you provide advice on more than one type of product, you must complete each of the strands most relevant to all those products.
