The purpose of this course is to enable you to gain an understanding of the fundamental principles and laws of mechanics.

Learners who successfully complete this online course will be able to:

  • Analyse basic theory and principles of forces in mechanics and their relationship to engineering applications.
  • Analyse motion, forces and motion, work and energy problems and their relationship to engineering applications.
  • Analyse the principles of fluids.

Assessment

Assessment for this course is:

  • 50% internally assessed
  • 50% examination.
