This online course will provide learners with visual communication skills to present an interior design project using digital drawing conventions.

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Use industry standards to measure an interior space
  • Use an industry appropriate computer drafting package to draw an interior space
  • Select elements within a drafting package to appropriately populate an interior digital drawing
  • Produce industry standard plans, elevations and 3-dimensional images of an interior
  • Prepare specifications and schedules for an interior design

Content includes

  • Measuring a room and using digital tools to show an interior
  • Using visual communication techniques, including a computer drafting package, to present an interior
  • Identifying and selecting elements within a drafting package to populate an interior digital drawing
  • Producing visual image outputs from a drafting package
  • Preparing specification and schedule documentation using a computer drafting package
