This online floristry course will give you entry level skills and knowledge in retail floristry, which will enable you to gain initial employment in the floristry industry with specific focus on health and safety, customer service and communication skills.

Students who successfully complete this online floristry course will be able to:

  • Describe the responsibilities of employers and employees under the Health and Safety in Employment Act.
  • Demonstrate effective communication techniques, customer service skills and basic retail payment techniques, to deliver a positive customer experience in a floristry workplace
  • Demonstrate basic techniques for the display and sale of floral stocks and merchandise including labelling, wrapping, card writing and ticket pricing.
  • Demonstrate methods for the storage and care of floristry stock.

This course is 100% internally assessed.

You need access to photographic and video recording equipment e.g. mobile phone with camera.
