This online course provides you with knowledge and skill development in the fundamentals of assessment practice for those working as assessors in a variety of assessment contexts.

You will develop learner-centred approaches to assessment practice including preparing for assessment, making quality assessment decisions and providing effective and appropriate feedback. 

You will also develop skills in reflective practice and gain an understanding of assessment processes including post-assessment processes.

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Prepare assessment materials and the assessment environment, and inform relevant stakeholders of assessment arrangements
  • Conduct assessments and ensure sound judgements of evidence are being made, and effective feedback is provided to learners
  • Complete post-assessment administration processes in an effective way to suit the learning context
  • Evaluate assessment practice using reflection and feedback
