Level 6
This course is subdivided into practice modules covering aspects of Geology and Geomechanics. Practice requirements for each module include field work in a team environment, field excursions and the preparation of individual reports on these practice activities. The geological field excursion provides the student with specialised instruction on the identification and the engineering significance of geological features. Students will be required to carry out soil tests to gauge various engineering properties of soils.
