Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Describe principles, elements and theories of design for interior décor.
  • Discuss how cultural influences and design movements contribute to interior design
  • Discuss the influence of the styles of significant architects and interior designers on interior design

 The course includes

  • Study of the history and theory of design principles and elements for interior décor
  • Study of cultural influences and design movements, including sustainable design
  • Study of precedents and influences of significant architects and interior designers

Computer and Internet requirements

To complete this programme, you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer. The Interior Décor courses cannot be completed by Chromebook, tablet, or phone. While you can read the content and watch videos, there are technical and software requirements throughout each course that you will need a laptop or desktop PC to do.

You will also need access to a reliable broadband internet connection and a data plan able to support online learning such as streaming videos (including YouTube), downloading content, and writing and submitting online assessments.
